IT Operations Manager

Job Summary

This position reports directly to the CIO and leads our Infrastructure and Support Desk teams.  The IT Operations Manager is responsible for driving the success of IT and leaderships strategic initiatives.  This role oversees the IT needs of 2600 employees, across 9 states, 40+ locations, in multiple healthcare verticals.


  • Oversee
    • Infrastructure / Tech Support Desk / Clinical Support Desk
    • Hardware and Equipment Management – document and maintain inventory of all IT hardware and peripherals
    • Capacity Planning and Optimization – plan, organize, and manage infrastructure to ensure reliable and stable operations
    • Delivery of 24/7 service operation, support, and SLA compliance
    • Vendor and contract management
  • Maintain documentation for enterprise standards including data center, cloud infrastructure architecture and application architecture
  • Maintain and enforce IT operations governance process
  • IT Risk Management – mitigate IT risks by defining and implementing business continuity plans, vulnerability management, and security posture
  • Employee Management including (hiring, employee development, 1:1, corrective action)
  • Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating business requirements, identifying problems and evaluating trends

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading enterprise IT team(s)
  • System administration
  • Network configuration management
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure AWS and/or Azure
  • Strong understanding of ITIL and ITSM
  • Office 365 administration

Preferred Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or technical certifications with Microsoft / HP / Cisco / VMware / Citrix
  • ITIL certification
  • AWS/Azure certifications
  • Implementation and management of telecom, SDWAN in enterprise environment, including (Telecom, SD-WAN, O365)

Education and Experience

  • BS/BA Degree – IT related preferred and/or technical certifications with Microsoft / HP / Cisco / VMware / Citrix

This is a full time exempt position, requiring periodic travel. Days and hours of work are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
