This month we honor the first responders who serve Cache Valley, break ground on a new community in Hyde Park, celebrate a leader who sets the standard for five star care, and welcome a new administrator to the Terrace team.
Rocky Mountain Care in Logan served BBQ to more than 150 emergency responders and local hospital partners, thanking them for the care they bring to our community every day. Proceeds benefited the Bridgerland Technical College Emergency Responders Scholarship Fund, with thanks to Blackstone, Lee’s, and our many other generous sponsors.
Our Administrator for Utah County leads with both her heart and her head. Hannah never asks anyone to do something she isn’t willing to do herself, and her mission is simple: people come first. That philosophy has built a culture where employees feel supported and excellence becomes the standard rather than the exception.
Nicole joined us in June as Administrator in Boise, bringing emergency and trauma nursing, palliative care coordination, and a conviction worth repeating:

A groundbreaking ceremony on September 2 marks the official start of construction on a new 120 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community in Hyde Park, Utah, designed to bring advanced care, rehabilitation services, and a genuine sense of home together under one roof.
Avant Workforce Solutions has officially transitioned to a new name: RMCare Talent Solutions. The name is changing; the commitment is not. Quality staffing, reduced dependency on outside agencies, and stronger support for recruitment and retention across every Rocky Mountain Care facility. There will be no disruption to current staffing operations or services.

Our very first edition: a nursing leader promoted from within, dermatology arriving on site at our Utah skilled nursing facilities, and palliative care expanding into Missouri.
Our first edition introduced a monthly place to connect residents, families, staff and community partners, covering activities, transitions of care, resident satisfaction, compliance and staffing across the full continuum of care.
Chelsea Edison, Director of Nursing at Summit Ridge, has been with Rocky Mountain Care since 2020 and moved from Staff Development Coordinator into the Director of Nursing role in 2022. Her view of the work is worth carrying into any leadership role:

Senior Health Physician Services brought dermatology directly into our Utah skilled nursing facilities, led by PA Lacey Lai. The program provides on site evaluations, full body skin assessments, skin cancer screenings, and treatment of both acute and chronic skin conditions, so residents receive specialty care without leaving the building.
The Senior Health Palliative Program expanded into Springfield, Missouri, offering in home and telehealth visits, symptom management, case management, and personalized care planning for patients living with complex illness.
A Google review from Steve M. at Hunter Hollow praised how actively Kai and NP Sheila were involved in his care and in supporting his wound healing.
